America First SW FL Caucus Endorsement

 The America First Southwest Florida Caucus proudly endorses Tom Knight for Sarasota County District 3 Commissioner.  

Tom has been a resident of Florida and Sarasota County since 1973, graduated from Venice High School, served a combined total of 34 years on the Sarasota Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, and 12 successful years as Sarasota County Sheriff until January 5, 2021.  Thirty-four years in law enforcement does not make Tom Knight a professional politician, but rather a very experienced, well-versed citizen who has now felt the need to run for office solely for the purpose of helping give Sarasota County government back to the citizens.   

Unlike his opponent, who is almost totally financed by the deep-pocketed land developers and Uni-party RINOs in Tallahassee, Tom is the people's candidate, listening to the grassroots, willing to fight for our neighborhoods, and not for the self-serving narcissists now controlling our county.  

He enjoys and prides himself on talking to those in the precincts and neighborhoods and is a superb listener to the concerns of the grassroot voters. He’s very approachable and actually desires voters, just like you, to come up to him in a public setting, shake his hand, and then he’ll listen attentively to what YOU have to say and what your concerns are. He considers himself a private grassroots citizen who is answering the call to serve his neighbors without any desire to use this position as a steppingstone for higher office. As mentioned earlier, he's not a professional politician, but rather a well-qualified citizen who sees how flawed our current system is, especially in the budgeting of Sarasota County, and has the experience of engineering an innovative solution.  

Tom’s platform is focused on protecting our quality of life, providing fiscally responsible leadership, respect for your tax dollars, and is a fierce defender of the Second Amendment. His previous experience as sheriff assists in his being a highly qualified county commissioner. He understands the responsibilities of the office, its limitations on what he can influence, and thereby possesses the experience to efficiently focus on what he can impact to better our community.  

One only has to look on the surface of what Tom has accomplished to see that he is a man of action. (www.knightforsarasotacommission.org) His opponent has resorted to a negative campaign, because he has no bragging rights, no accomplishments that support his qualifications to be commissioner other than being born with a silver spoon.   

Tom Knight grew up in a humble lifestyle, has been a life-long Republican, and is a strong supporter of Donald Trump and his America First agenda.  His opponent only became a Republican in 2018 when he recognized that being a Republican in Florida would best support his desired rise to fame and fortune as a career RINO politician.  

Tom is his own man and has stood the test of time in the community as a servant of the community. His opponent has nothing but a half-empty pail of water that he carries for those he serves, the establishment Uni-Party of Florida.  

The America First Southwest Florida Caucus vets, in-depth, all our local candidates before endorsing them - asking them the hard questions nobody is bold enough to ask. Tom Knight passed our vetting process with compelling marks for being the strongest grassroots candidate many of the seasoned board vetting the candidates has ever encountered.  

There was never any question when comparing the candidates running for Sarasota County District 3 commissioner who would be endorsed by the AFSWFLC, a completely independent group of conservatives representing the precincts, neighborhoods, and grassroots of Sarasota County. While many of you live outside District 3 and can't vote for Tom, Tom is quick to tell voters, "I still vote for you!"  

It is incumbent upon "We the People" that we vote for a person like Tom Knight in his selfless endeavors to serve our grassroots community.  That's why the AFSWFLC so strongly endorses Tom Knight - but he desperately needs your help with your vote. The Establishment Uni-Party may have unlimited funding, but Tom Knight has the backing of the grassroots voters. He's your candidate and he'll fight for you!
